Nano regulations –urgent need say UK report PDF Print E-mail

The UK Royal Commission has issued a report on the spread of nanomaterials, stating that “urgent action [is] needed on testing and regulation”. In its report the Commission found no evidence of nanomaterials causing harm to health or the environment but raised concerns that current levels of testing and regulation are inadequate.

International nanomaterials research programme MANA launched PDF Print E-mail

Cambridge is one of four institutes located outside of Japan which will host a satellite of the 'International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics' (MANA). (The University of California, Los Angeles, the Georgia Institute of Technology and CNRS, France will host the other three satellites.) Two branches will be located in Japan at Tsukuba University, Tokyo and Hokkaido University, Sapporo.
