Neuralstem, Inc has received Official Notice of Allowance for its patent application, number 10/047,352, for Stable Neural Stem Cell Lines from the US Patent and Trade Office (USPTO). This patent covers the technology to immortalize any human neural stem cell, rendering its growth robust and long-lasting.

The Parliamentary standing committee attached to chemicals and fertilizers ministry has expressed strong disappointment over the delay in finalizing the much awaited policy.

President gives accent to Law forbidding arrest in offenses carrying upto seven years imprisonment. As reported earlier that the President has granted assent to the law past nearly three week back by the parliament which brings about major changes in the Criminal Procedure Code. This newly enacted law takes away the powers of the police to arrest in cases of alleged offenses which carry a maximum sentence upto seven years of imprisonment.
