Aurobindo Pharma receives approval for  manufacturing and marketing two drugs Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride and Fluconazole Tablets.

The company has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) to manufacture and market the Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride tablets, used as a muscle relaxant, in strengths of 5 mg and 10 mg, respectively. Cyclobenzaprine is a generic version of MCNEIL -PPC's Flexeril tablets and are indicated to be used for relief of muscle spasm.

Further it also received final approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (US FDA) to manufacture and market Fluconazole tablets 50mg, 100mg, 150mg and 200mg.

Fluconazole tablets is the generic version of Pfizer's Diflucon tablets 50mg, 100mg, 150mg and 200mg and is indicated for the treatment fungal infections. This is Aurobindo's 80th ANDA approval from the US FDA.

Last month, the company had received two US FDA approval for manufacturing and marketing Didanosine Delayed Release capsules and Abacavir Sulfate tablets, both used in the treatment of HIV infections.
