'Nanotechnology in India's future' – 2nd Edition of Bangalore Nano Event PDF Print E-mail

With Bangalore’s position as emerging leader in nanotechnology and as an international business destination growing manifold over the years, Bangalore the nano hub of India is poised to host the 2nd edition of Bangalore Nano.

The flagship nanotechnology event is jointly organized by the Department of IT and Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka in association with Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR).

The event is scheduled from December 12–14, 2008 and the focal theme of the event is ‘nanotechnology in India’s future’. The event will create immense opportunities for innovators, researchers, academia, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and large business enterprises to display the latest advancements in nanotechnology.

In tune with the focal theme of the event the international conference will focus on nanotechnology and its impact on India’s future with special attention to industry and manufacturing, energy and environment, health and wellness, food and agriculture, ICT, electronics, chemicals and the investment and partnering opportunities offered. The three-day event will enable investors and the industry to pick the technology winners and identify the investment opportunities of the future.

According to the organizers, eminent researchers and industrialists in the field of nanotechnology across the world would address the delegates during the three-day event. The event will attract 500 delegates from across the globe. Participation is expected from Germany, France, UK, US, Australia, South Korea and Japan. Leading private sector companies and government R&D organizations doing path-breaking work in nanotechnology will be showcasing their technology, services and achievements in the Nano Expo.
