Founder and Chairman of Fourrts (India) Laboratories Pvt Limited, a fast growing pharmaceutical company based at Chennai. Mr. Veeramani has more than 30 years of successful experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Fourrts has won Quality Excellence Award 6 times so for in 1986, 1987, 1996, 2002, 2003 & 2006 from IDMA, Mumbai. The company has also won an award of excellence from the Tamil Nadu Government for timely supply of quality medicines. In July 2002, Fourrts won the Managerial Excellence Award of Madras Management Association from the governor of Tamil Nadu.
MBA in Marketing and holds prominent post in various Pharmaceutical Associations and Institutions as Vice President ( Southern Region) of Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association, Mumbai. He is Chairman – SSI Panel, Committee of Administration, Pharmexcil. He is Life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association.
He was the co- chairman of local organizing committee of the 55th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2003. He has presented papers on Indian Biopharmaceutical Industry during the international conference “Biological Asia 2004” held at Singapore in November 2004.
Mr. Veeramani is socially active. He is the past president of Rotary Club of Adyar and also a major donor to the rotary foundation and has donated free medicines to several medical camps. [ FRENCH ] [ SPANISH ]
Mr. S.W. Deshpande
Ret. the Joint Commissioner FDA-Maharashtra
Shri. S.W. Deshpande is graduate in Pharmacy and Law. He retired from FDA-Maharashtra as the Joint Commissioner after long and outstanding service of 33 years. After his retirement, he has set up “PHARMALEX” offering legal consultation on drug legislations. He is legal advisor to IDMA, ADMA, AIOCD, MSCDA and many leading Pharmaceutical companies.
Shri. Deshpandes’ contribution to the Pharmacy profession has been recognized by the Central India Pharmacy Promotion and Research Association, Nagpur by presenting “Pharma Excellence Award, 2005” and by Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association by conferring the prestigious K.C. Chaterjee Memorial Award 2005 at 57th IPC, Hyderabad. The Retail Dispensing and Chemist Association felicitated him after his retirement by conferring “Life Time Achievement Award”.
The All India Drugs Control Officers’ Confederation also conferred the Life Time Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution in Drugs Control Administration in India. The award, instituted for the first time in 2006, was presented to him at inaugural function of 58th IPC held at Mumbai on December 1, 2006.
He has authored three books on drug legislations namely A booklet “Case Law on Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940”, A Commentary on “Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954” and an Exhaustive commentary on “Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940”. He has also contributed in drafting the elaborate amendment proposal to the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisement) Act, 1954 as a member of sub-committee constituted by the Government of India. . He regularly writes on regulatory issues in pharmaceutical journals
He was instrumental in formation AIDCOC and has contributed substantially for a decade in formation, strengthening and giving directions to the AIDCOC activities. He has served AIDCOC as the founder Secretary General and then as the President. At present, he is the Hon. Director General, AIDCOC.
He is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Pharma Business Technology, Council member of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association and an Independent Director on the Board of Maharashtra Safe Chemists and Distributors Alliance Ltd. He is a gifted teacher, communicator and a trainer a fact recognized by national and international organizations by inviting him as faculty for seminar and workshops. [ French ] [ SPANISH ]
Dr. Gopakumar G. Nair
40 years in Pharma Industry as Director, Managing Director & Chairman of various public limited pharma companies, Dr. Nair has also served Industry Associations for more than 25 years in various capacities, latest as President of Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), during 1999-2000. He was also Advisor to Bulk Drug Manufacturers’ Association (BDMA) and is currently Advisor/Consultant to nearly 15 Pharma/Biotech/Agrotech companies. Dr. Nair is also Editor, Assistant Editor, Editorial Board Member of various publications and journals, relating to pharma, biotech and chemicals.
In the field of Intellectual Properties, Dr.Nair was the Dean of Institute of Intellectual Property Studies (IIPS) at Hyderabad, India. Presently he heads his own IP firm, Gopakumar Nair Associates and is also CEO of Patent Gurukul, reputed and well-known training centre for Patents.
Dr. Nair is widely travelled. He is also associated with various Educational Institutions such as President, Bharat Education Society.
In 2004, Global Bio Pharma Conference was organized in India by Dr.Nair jointly with other US & Indian organizations and Universities, which was largely attended and widely appreciated.
Dr. Nair has hundreds of papers and articles to his credit in widely read journals and websites. He has also been and continues to be a sought after speaker in various seminars, workshops and conferences. He is a visiting faculty in Intellectual Property and also in many Diploma programs all over India.
Dr. Nair is a Ph.D from National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune and has Diploma in Management & Patent Law. Dr. Nair has also taken a degree in General Law. He is a practicing Patent & Trademark professional & has filed hundreds of Patents & Trademarks including PCT. Dr. Nair has many articles and publications to his credit, including a valid granted Indian patent on a chemical process.
