The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) along with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is organizing ‘Namaskar Africa’ – an Indian business expedition to Africa from January 14 to 16, 2010 at Lagos, Nigeria. The focus sectors of the initiative include 'healthcare & pharmaceuticals'.
Minister of Commerce & Industry Anand Sharma is expected to lead the delegation to Africa. Vice president of Nigeria would be inaugurating the event and there would be ministerial and business delegation from 15 West African countries.
'Namaskar Africa' presents a unique opportunity to the companies from India and the countries of West Africa to collaborate for trade, joint venture and investment opportunities through the exhibition (January 14 to 16) and India-West Africa Business Forum (January 14 to 15).
The exhibition presents a unique opportunity to the Indian companies to mark their footprints as Indian business leaders not only in Nigeria but also the participating 15 West African countries. The business forum which shall table specific projects in the identified sectors available for collaboration with the 15 participating West African countries shall allow you to network with the Who’s Who of Nigeria and West Africa including the Ministers, procurement agencies, investment bodies, regional financial institutions and the private players.
The highlights of the visit will be two-day business forum and exclusive B2B meetings with the captains of industry and the policy makers for further cooperation, three-day international exhibition to showcase the organisation and to discuss specific projects with the decision makers.
