Pharma company Jubilant Organosys on Thursday said it has joined hands with a Finland-based firm Orion for the discovery of drugs.
“Jubilant Biosys and Jubilant Chemsys, the two subsidiaries of the company based at Bangalore and Noida respectively, have entered into three-way drug discovery partnership with Orion,'' the drug maker said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Under the arrangement, Finnish drug firm Orion would have the option of utilising resources flexibly from the two units of the Indian pharma company on the requirements of its drug discovery projects, it said.
“Through this partnership, we would achieve a good basis for success as it would complement our in-house discovery effort,'' Orion Corporation's Antti Haapalinna said. Shares of Jubilant closed at Rs 106.95, down 3.39 per cent on BSE.
