Aloka Trivitron Medical Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a medical equipment manufacturing company formed under the joint venture (JV) between Aloka Japan and Trivitron Healthcare, has commenced the production of portable black and white ultrasound scanner Aloka SSD 500 from its Chennai facility.
This is the first production from the company's manufacturing facility located at Poonamallee, Chennai, which aims to roll out world class medical equipments at most effective costs to national and international customers.
Among the new products, Aloka SSD 500 is multi-purpose diagnostic ultrasound system providing excellent image quality with comprehensive function in truly portable body. Also, it is a world premier portable model now being produced in India with international quality standards.
"We are proud to commence the first production of portable black and white ultrasound scanner Aloka SSD 500 from our manufacturing facility in Chennai. The aim of the Aloka, Trivitron JV is to offer products of high quality suited to developing countries needs on a most cost effective basis. Apart from meeting the needs of the Indian market, the products manufactured by the JV will be exported to several developing/developed countries across the world," said Dr G S K Velu, managing director, Trivitron.
The core vision of Trivitron Healthcare is to bring world-class medical technology within the reach of medical professionals all over the world. It also aims to set up advanced facilities for manufacturing of laboratory reagents for routine and special diagnostics testing in JV with Bio-systems, Spain and operation theatre lights under a JV with Brandon Medical, UK.
The company's manufacturing facility in Chennai will adhere to all international standards such as ISO 9000-2001, ISO 13485 for medical product manufacturing and will also be compliant with requirements for CE, US food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Japan MITI certifications. The company has plans to introduce an array of indigenous products from electronic equipment to consumables under 'pride series'.
